Privacy Policy

Inspections capture sensitive information about your clients’ homes. We treat that data with the seriousness it deserves: your inspections stay in your iCloud. We never see them.

PLAYRIOT LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Inspectrly mobile application and the inspectrly.aiappnation.com waitlist page (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The short version: we don’t harvest your inspection data. Your inspections, photos, and narratives live in your personal iCloud container — PLAYRIOT cannot read them. We never sell data, never embed analytics SDKs in client-facing reports, and never inject ads on the report portals you send to homebuyers and agents.

1. About Inspectrly

Inspectrly is an iOS app for home inspectors. It enables voice-first on-site inspection capture, AI-assisted narrative generation, polished PDF report delivery, and offline-first workflow. The app runs on iPhone and iPad and is designed for inspectors in their first three years of business.

2. Information We Collect

Waitlist email (waitlist page). If you submit the waitlist form on this page, we collect your email address. We use it only to send launch updates and notify you about founder pricing eligibility. You can unsubscribe at any time from the footer of any email we send.

Inspection data (in the app, post-launch). Your inspection records — address, photos, voice recordings, narratives, severity ratings, client and agent contact info — are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and, if you opt in to iCloud Sync, sync via Apple’s CloudKit to your private iCloud container associated with your Apple ID. PLAYRIOT LLC has no access to data in your private container.

Subscription state (post-launch). Whether you have an active Solo Starter or Growing entitlement, derived from Apple’s StoreKit. Apple handles the actual payment — we never see your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID password.

Crash diagnostics (opt-in, post-launch). If you opt in via Settings, Inspectrly may submit anonymized crash logs to Apple via the standard iOS crash-reporting framework. No PII or inspection content is included.

3. What We Don’t Collect

  • No tracking across other apps or websites.
  • No third-party analytics SDKs — not Firebase, not Mixpanel, not Amplitude, not Segment.
  • No inspection records on our servers — your inspections never leave your iCloud.
  • No photos transmitted to us.
  • No client or agent contact info transmitted to us.
  • No advertisements injected on client-facing report pages. Ever.
  • No selling of data. There is no data to sell.

4. AI Narrative Generation

When you use the AI narrative builder to convert a voice or text observation into a formal finding, the relevant short text snippet (for example, “GFCI outlet not present at kitchen sink”) is transmitted to PLAYRIOT’s AI Factory backend at api.aiappnation.com solely for the purpose of generating the structured narrative. We do not retain the request, do not log your client’s address, and do not associate the request with your account.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • Waitlist email: launch notifications, member-exclusive pricing confirmation, occasional product updates. Opt-out via unsubscribe link in every email.
  • Inspection data: stored locally and in your private iCloud. Not transmitted to us under any circumstance.
  • Subscription state: verified with Apple’s StoreKit on app launch and at periodic intervals to confirm entitlement.

6. Third-Party Services

Apple StoreKit. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. We receive only subscription status confirmation. We never see your payment details.

Apple iCloud / CloudKit. If you enable iCloud Sync, your inspection records are stored in your private iCloud container. Apple’s privacy policy governs CloudKit data handling.

PLAYRIOT AI Factory (api.aiappnation.com). Used exclusively for AI narrative generation requests as described in Section 4. Operated by PLAYRIOT LLC on a dedicated VPS.

Email delivery (waitlist). Waitlist confirmations are sent via a transactional email provider. We share only your email address for delivery purposes.

7. Device Permissions (post-launch)

Inspectrly requests the following iOS permissions when you use the relevant feature:

  • Microphone: required to record voice findings during inspections. Recordings are processed on-device and never transmitted to PLAYRIOT.
  • Camera and Photo Library: required to capture and attach inspection photos. Photos are stored locally and in your private iCloud only.
  • Location (optional): required only if you enable address auto-population. Not used otherwise.

8. Data Storage and Deletion

Inspection records are stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud Sync, also in your private iCloud container. Deleting the app removes local data; records in iCloud remain until you remove them from iCloud or use the in-app Delete All Inspection Data action in Settings > Data, which wipes both local and iCloud-synced records.

To remove your waitlist email, click the unsubscribe link in any email we’ve sent, or email [email protected] with the subject “Inspectrly waitlist removal.”

9. Children’s Privacy

Inspectrly is not directed at children. The Service is intended for licensed and certified home inspectors who are adults engaged in professional inspection work.

10. EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR and equivalent laws: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object to processing. Because we hold no server-side inspection data about you (it lives on your device and in your private iCloud), the practical exercise of these rights is straightforward: stop using the app or delete it, and request waitlist email removal. To make a formal request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise CCPA rights, email [email protected].

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. If you are on the waitlist when material changes are made, we will notify you by email.
